Bonnat - Dark Chocolate - Hacienda el Rosario 75%

| /

It’s a single estate bar from Maracaibo, Venezuela. This bar is a slight deviation from Bonnat’s classical style.

Colour and flavor add to each other with the look and aroma of red berries that characterize the origin of the cacao beans. The flavor is deep and bold, sometimes a little bit heavy like in potent red wine. Red fruits lead with a booming personality because acidity is almost absent here. Cream and fruits maintain through in classical Venezuelan fashion until intense notes of nuts take over to finish things up. It is a strong finale, very chocolaty and pleasant. The smoothness of the bar is more “organic” and not so obvious.  The packaging and the bar traditionally evoke nostalgic feel, the former being ornately decorated, the latter being simply molded. This bar is a great example of how to treat this cacao, and this unity of flavor with concrete chocolate taste can last long enough to enjoy it.
