Story
The unique and complex flavours of this 'chocolate' are teased out during the long, slow process of whole-bean roasting. This drives out any bitterness to reveal a pure 100% flavour that will surprise and delight the most refined chocolate palates.
The coast of Guadalcanal, nestled in the heart of the Solomon Islands, is home to some of the finest cocoa from this region. The cocoa trees grow in this rich volcanic soil, protected from the midday sun beneath high coconut palms. Their beans encapsulate a subtle cocoa flavour overlaid with delicate plum and citrus notes.
The farms here are owned by one extended family, with husbands and wives, brothers and sisters, all working together. From growing their own cocoa saplings to harvesting the cocoa beans, the family is personally involved in every step and use their knowledge and experience to produce cocoa beans of the highest calibre.
