Like many areas of Colombia, Tomaco went through hard times of harsh political conflicts and drug trafficking that led to a long time of crisis in agriculture. But it didn't prevent cacao trees from growing. When the area was rediscovered in 2011 cacao trees were everywhere. The farmers were drying beans of any possible surface they could find, including roads. Cacao de Colombia was one of the first cacao experts who recognised the opportunity and started to supply those unique beans internationally. Utopick is one of the makers which transforms this unique Tomaco beans into something astonishing. And Hello Chocolate brings this remarkable chocolate bar to you.
